Blog #49 Final cut

This is the final cut of my films first 2 mins. This whole process was a lot of fun but also a lot of time and hard work I put all my decisions of micro elements in my previous blogs.

Blog #31 Behind the scenes with special effects and sounds to create meaning

I used different things to help create different effects throughout the scenes. The first thing we did is shown in the picture below. This image shows my friend spraying water on the window of a car to make it look like it is raining and makes it feel like a sadder scene and shows the feeling of the characters really well. The next thing I did was put happy music in the second scene but sadder music in the 4th scene. This shows the contrast of the 2 scenes. The first scene will have the song happy in her ear which will show the happier more meaningful feeling to the scene while the 4th scene will have a very sad song in the scene which shows the contrast and meaning of the 2 scenes. The room that Charlette woke up in was also very useful because it showed a lot of Charlette's interest. These posters and other things around the room seem to be "nerdy" by todays standard which is great for the representation of my Character Charlette.

Blog #41 Music choices and other sounds

I specifically picked my music choices because of how it made the scene feel. The first song I used was called Happy by Pharrell Williams. This song like the name had a happier feeling throughout the scenes that I used it in. This song was used to fill space and to make the scene overall feel happier. I picked this song specifically to represent how Charlette was having a very good day. The music then stops because the bully walks into the room making her less happy and giving an ominous felling to the scene. Below is the video I used to record the audio off of YouTube. The next song I used was a sad song on the piano to represent the sadder tone of the scene. This song was used in scene 4 of my film to make Charlette seem sad and lonely because of how the bully picked on her. This music was specifically picked out to give a very sad dark tone to the scene and add to the affect of the scene as a whole.
